I see a lot of LC Smiths in 20ga with 13 1\2" Butt Stocks. Some have great case color. Are they still collectable? Would that hurt the collectability or value? We all like untouched I get it. But....thoughts???? And what about non factory recoil pads?? Like to know what everyone thinks on this.

If a Research Letter documents the dimensions, possibly for a gun ordered for a young person or lady, that would be additional evidence of originality.
Most cut straight butts were done to fit a pad, and if the gun is a high condition shooter, but with a period appropriate repro pad, IMHO that would not lessen the value. Old hard pads certainly don't add value.
