Barrel thickness

What is a safe minimum? I have a gun with a minimum wall thickness of .030 and .023 Pre 1913 Smith 12 GA.

Proper evaluation of wall thickness must include measurements at the end-of-the-chamber, 3", 6", 9", 12", 18", 9" from the muzzle, and the location of the MWT.
Dealers tend to list a single MWT number, without the location thereof, which is not in any way adequate.
The evaluation should also include an examination with a bore scope to identify pits.

Alan, I personally must see at least .025 for me to shoot but like .030 much better. When you buy a gun, "you buy the barrels" which is the most important part to check out. Mike
