I recently purchased an excellent condition Long Range field grade in 12 gauge. After looking through Stubbendieck’s resource book, it appears that I have the only Field grade with a beavertail forend out of 2,035 field grade long range guns. All the numbers match and the number is even stamped into the inside of the forend. My question is whether the value is negligible due to it being a field grade or not? Either way, very cool. Thank you for any insight you may offer.

You may have a rarer Long Range field grade gun.
I also have a Field Grade Long Range 3 in Smith. It keeps up with my AH Fox HE SuperFox 3 in goose-turkey gun.Splinter FE.
Like the other grades, gauges and chambering, the higher and rarer the grade, the more valuable the gun.
My LC Smith has 32 in bbls and tight choking FC- resulting in great patterns. It has resulted in a very effective turkey gun. It has a home.
