Is there a more up to date list of 8 gauge serial numbers than what’s in Brophy’s book and if so is it available for viewing ?

Yes, there's a member here who has a more complete listing; don't know if he wishes to make it public?
But if you'd share the serial number of your gun, perhaps he will share whatever information he may have on same? That said, be aware that some serial number blocks are missing that included information on some 8-bore guns; so not all 8 bore serial numbers can be authenticated via the shipping ledgers.

The current count of known 8ga LC Smith shotguns is 54. I can check your serial number against the known serial numbers,,,,, or add it to the list as a found serial number gun. eightbore@hotmail.com
