Upon closer examination of the barrels on the WF I discovered what appeared to be a rounded three point crown over a D on both barrels. The Forum archives indicated that these barrel markings are consistent with the Canons Delcour (Letter D under 3 point oval crown) and Delcour-Dupont Jean.
These barrels must have been in the inventory before May 10, 1940 when the Germans invaded Belgium. Anyone else have similar markings on their WF? I just sent off for my letter so I am not sure when this WF was built but according to the numbers it may have been in one of the first shipment to ROD in 1942.
