I am trying to locate or have someone make me a set of firing pins and bushings for a old model hammerhead 12 gauge gun. I have been unable to find these anywhere. My email is dthorne1984@gmail.com please contact me if you have any information. Thanks

Bill we will need more of a description of your gun. If it states L.C. Smith Maker, Syracuse, N.Y. on top of the barrels these guns were made in three (3) different frame sizes and so the firing pins were also made in three different sizes. The bushings were the same size in all frames. A thing to remember is that these bushing were hand fitted to each gun and therefore they won't fit in another gun. If you have a broken firing pin from your gun is a quick way to tell which size you need. The frame sizes were Medium Weight, Heavy Weight and Extra Heavy Weight. If made by the Hunter Arms Company, Fulton, N.Y. they were only made in one size, Medium Weight.
Bill, I make both the bushings and the firing pins. There are 2 kinds of bushings and a few kinds of firing pins. I would have to have the receiver to determine what combo you need. Also the bushings must be finish filed to the breech face. Lou
