Good evening, With a total of six LC Smith shooters attempting to qualify for the 12 Ga Fall Challenge, Team LC was able to come within 10 birds of Team Parker. Congrats to team Parker. The same six LC Smith Shooters tied Team Parker in todays Hammer-Gun Challenge, and Team Parker won the shoot-off for the Victory. Congrats to Team Parker once again. To those familiar with the Challenge events, the team is usually comprised of the top ten shooters from each team, but since we only had six folks on hand, this year the team consisted of the top six shooters for each team. The small gauge challenge events were contested on Thursday only this year. Team LC won all four gauges, .410, 28 Ga, 20 Ga, & 16 Ga. Team Parker did manage Runner-up in both the 16 & 20 gauge events, but Team LC was hi-gun and runner up in both the .410 and 28 ga events. As usual, Rick and Co put on a great(wonderful!) event, and the weather could not have been better. A big thanks to those that could make the event.
John,It would be nice to know who made up our team.I know that my friends Carl Baker and Wayne Butler from here were down there this year.I would love to have come down but am tied up with farm harvesting this time of year.Charlie.
Chris Cox-25 John Brownell-22 John Liles-19 Tony Tucker- 17 Rick Ghenn- 16 Alyssa Alberti- 14
I don't have the actual shoot off results, but I must correct some mis-information that I shared last evening. Team Parker won by 20 targets, instead of the 10 targets that I mentioned previously. Final score was TeamParker 125, Team LC Smith 105.
Hammer Gun Event, Scores that tied Team Parker:
Chris Cox- 24 Alyssa Alberti- 20 Rick Ghenn- 19 John Liles- 19 Tom Pelligrini- 18
To me, LC Smith's performance was more amazing than Team Parker, considering there was only 6 shooters for LC Smith and a lot more for Parker. LC Smith performed very well against tough odds. The Parker team did quite well too. It was fun to watch
