I have my grandfather’s 12 ga L.C. Smith. I want to get it restored. The stock is missing and trigger guard is broken. I am in Texas, who or where would do this. Any info would be helpful. 972-979-7081
Welcome Robert. Your desire to honor your grandfather by restoring his Smith is certainly admirable, but the cost of a restock and trigger guard fabrication would far exceed the value of the gun. Your best hope is to find the parts on ebay or a gun auction site. You will need to know if the frame is a Regular or Featherweight. The stock will still need to be professionally fitted. You do have the forend?
If you will contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your correct phone number or email I will edit your post.
Robert, there are many members out there with parts that may be able to help you but we need more info. Photos would be best but a serial number, grade[ look on the receiver water table] barrel markings, hammer or hammerless and single or double trigger. Do you have the forend wood and iron?
