I am looking for a stock for a 12-gauge Field Grade FW to replace a stock in which the head disintegrated due to petroleum-based oil damage. The stock does not have to be in great condition, as long as it does not have structural damage. Can anyone help? 703-625-4830 wesbrooksd@aol.com
Re: Need Stock for Field Grade 12-gauge Featherweight
Ebay usually has listings for some; at least two are available right now. (Search ebay for L C Smith and for Hunter Arms). Check whether they are for a gun of your gauge, manufactured in the era of your gun, and whether they are Reg or FW. Note where the stock meets the receiver and determine whether the juncture is straight or at an angle. They still might not fit, or might fit but with some effort.
