The following are some recently acquired vintage Smith Ads.

I did not see these examples under the History - Magazine Ads section on our site.

I'm sure everyone enjoys seeing the ads Bob so keep them coming

They are however too small for Cheryl and Dr Jim to use in the LCSCA Journal. This one reproduces well here but is < 100 kb

Minimum resolution for publication

Dr. Drew is correct. The minimum resolution for photos and other illustrations for the L.C. Smith Journal is 300 dpi (dots per inch). We can't use anything with less resolution.

Hello Drew and Jim,

Sounds good, I will work on getting Drew the jpg's in addition to posting here for general viewing.

I have been lucky enough to acquire a few original Forest & Stream Ads going back to 1881 (L.C. Smith Maker Ad on page 442 of The Legend Lives) and would like to share them.

David - I see Drew gave you some good info. (beyond my tech knowledge). Here is how I display these Ads. The catalogs, advertising etc. can be just as addicting as the guns themselves.....
