Trouble with an Ideal Grade

I have a very pretty Ideal Grade 12 gauge. It seem when I open the gun after pulling the triggers, on snap caps or not, it does not want to stay open. I have to force the barrels down to extract the spent shells and reload.
Other than this it shoots great! Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Charlie it could be a few things. Make sure the cocking rods are not loose and are staked on the lifters tight.

The extractor activator could be worn.

You didn't say whether it has ejectors or not, but if so make sure the screws that hold the ejector springs are tight and not slipping on the rod. Also make sure the for-end screws are tight.

David thanks for the reply. I believe she only has extractors. I'll check everything you listed tonight and see what I can find.
