I have a LC Smith 10ga with 32 inch barrels and hunter one selectable trigger. SN 218716. I posted previously about it shooting both barrels at once and got some good replies. I've been able to take the locks off the sides but can't get the trigger mechanism free. The main screw (the forward most one) is stuck hard and appears to have been a little roughed up by previous removal attempts. Any advice for getting it out? I've tried liquid wrench for a week. Was considering heating the head with a torch but don't want to mess things up. Thanks!

I often use a drill press to remove screws. Unplug the drill press. I use a Dewalt bit extender and put a driver bit the fits that screw slot in your gun. Position the rame on the drill press bed lower the bit into the slot and keep down pressure on the bit while turning the chuck by hand. This has never failed me and it keeps the screw slot perfect.
