My daughter decided to join me today in some fun on the sporting clays course, and to make it even more fun with our beloved L.C. Smiths. I was a little surprised she wanted to join me today, as it was a cold mostly overcast December day, perfect in my book but my daughter loves all things relating to warm weather and fun in the sun.
I decided this would be the day to have her learn to shoot a double trigger. I set her up with a 1946 featherweight 12 using RST Ultra Lights with 3/4 oz. of shot. She got the hang of it pretty fast (faster than I did) and was hitting targets before the cold got the better of her. While I finished up the the last few stations I suddenly realized that I had with me Fulton guns from almost the beginning (1893 Quality A1) to almost the end (1946 Field Grade) of the production run. And what a run it was!
As the light dimmed on this short December day and I headed back to the parking lot I was pretty sure this outing would be the highlight of the rest of my week. After all, I had just taught my daughter to shoot a double trigger on a L.C. Smith SxS!
I'm usually horrible about taking any pictures, but today I did and here they are of our cold outing and the L.C. Smiths:
Bob, I go agree with Gary that is super. Also thanks for posting the pictures of you and your daughter and your very nice "elsies". Merry Christmas and good shooting.
