Thanks David. This one has double triggers and I don't think it has ejectors. I bought this gun from a very well respected pawn shop that specializes in firearms, and the shop guy did have a choke gauge that revealed a difference in the right and left barrel. The left barrel was more open than the right. That's all I can say because I didn't have my cheaters with me and could not read the numeral graduations on the gauge. I'll know a lot more when I pattern it. |
Speaking of single triggers, I wanted a gun with double triggers. I've been hunting with an Marlin era Elsie in 16 gauge for many years, and it has a single trigger. I think I would prefer the option of picking a barrel with a different trigger depending on the range of the bird. It's a little weird for me because I shoot off the left shoulder and the triggers on the double are made for a right handed shooter, but I can manage. I once had an Ithaca Flues in 20 gauge that had double triggers and I was able to get used to "reaching" across to the right trigger with my left hand.
Anyway, thank you. I'm going for pheasant and quail this weekend in central Washington state, and I may take this long just to see how those 32" barrels carry. Right now they feel a bit like the guns on the USS Iowa.
