LC Smith side by side identification

Posted by Jay Frandano on October 3, 2020, 10:56 am

Hi,
I'm trying to identify the manufacture date and model of my shotgun. I'm unsure of the last digit of the s/n. I've attached a photo.
Thanks for the help.
Jay

Welcome Jay. Your No. 0 was manufactured about 1901, and unless replaced would have "Good Damascus" barrels.
Look around the Home Page, esp. under Shotguns and FAQ for lots of information

Is it possible that a Research Letter might identify the original purchaser.

Let us know where you are and we might be able to recommend a double gun specialist who can replace your left firing pin and bushing, and give the gun careful check and clean.

Thank you for the fast reply! This is a great site. I have lots of reading to do. I'll look at requesting a Research Letter. I got the shotgun from my Great Uncle, He could very well be the original purchaser.

Thanks again
