Forend Latch Ideal Grade 12 ga

I am trying to learn about a latch I have never seen on an LC Ideal grade 12 ga. I saw this week.

It has a unique forend release on a splinter forend. There is a button at the end of the forend similar to the English Anson design. It releases little clips near the end. It snaps back in place
Was this a special order feature or a trial on the part of the manufacturer

Something like this? it's a Curtis, also off an Ideal grade. Made from 1913? to 1919?aprox
This one I recut and refinished recently.
It's available if anyone needs one.

The barrels are 12ga, 28 inch feather-weight if memory serves. Barrels are excellent but with some loss of blue.
If that is something you would be interested in we can figure out a price that works.
