An unusual message for unusual times

If you’re like me these days, the only exercise is a walk through the neighborhood. The days ahead will be challenging and desperate for some people. A lone Senior walking along a road could be a target for a robbery. This happened to me with a good ending. But, it could have been otherwise easily. My suggestion is to be alert and aware. I hope this unpleasantness ends soon. HAPPY TRAILS & it would be a good idea to change them every day. Best Regards. Roger

Roger - Glad to here you are OK. It is a time when the dark side will try to take advantage of a bad situation. My life moto has always been to "Endeavor to Persevere". Probably more applicable now than ever before. On lighter note, I can still get out in the back yard and shoot some clay targets with the Elsie's. To all, please be safe and "Endeavor to Persevere". Hoping we can all get together at the Home Coming in August.

Good to hear from you. Yes. Hope to see you in Fulton. It’s the only shooting event within the next couple months that hasn’t been cancelled. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. Hangin’ in here at the ranch with no place to shoot. Darn .... RLD

It ended in a classic ‘Mexican Standoff’. I assumed they were armed, and they thought likewise. Luckily, no one acted, especially me because I was bluffing through the whole scene. No one got hurt - it was a good day. A Mexican standoff ends when someone yields. After a time (WHEW I don’t know how long) I turned away & continued my walk.
