2020 Central Pa SxS shoot

I thought I posted this back in October but I can't find it. Here is the latest update: Less than 1 month away. I don't plan on cancelling this shoot unless Blue Ridge closes down or the situation gets much worse. I think the a large gathering of people in a crowded area is quite different than a gathering of people in an outdoors environment. If anything changes, I'll let you know.

The date for the 2020 Central Pa SxS shoot is April 11, 2020 at the Blue Ridge Sportsman's Club in Harrisburg Pa.

9:00am to 3:00pm Must be off Sporting Clay Course by 3:00pm

A Message From BRSC

Due to the Covid-19 Situation all group activities at Blue Ridge have been cancelled.

The April directors meeting and the general membership meeting have been cancelled.

There will not be any events, including Sporting Clays, Wobble Trap, 5-Stand.

Law enforcement training is authorized if necessary.

The club is open for member use: rifle, pistol, archery, manual clay targets, fishing, walking and dog walking.. Please abide by the guidelines for safe distancing, hand cleanliness etc.

If you need exercise, walk any area that we mow. Pick up broken limbs and branches and put them back into the unmowed area so we don't hit them with the mower. The mowing season is here now.

As the situation changes day by day, we will update club status when it changes.

The shoot for April 11th is cancelled. I'm checking with Blue Ridge for a new date. I'm hoping for early September prior to the Vintage Cup shoot. I'll post a new date when I know it.

I spoke with DOTTIE today from BRSC. Dottie and Tammy will be preparing food for all of the shooters at BRSC on September 5th of 2020. There will be a breakfast for the shooters at BRSC on Sept 5th. There will be a very nice lunch available for the shooters on Sept 5th. Please plan to support BRSC by eating at BRSC on Sept 5th..... We had great weather and 39 SxS shooters. Lots of L.C. Smiths being shot. Here is a list of scores and Lewis payouts. I hope to do this shoot again in April next year.

2020 Central Penn SXS Shoot Food

The ladies of BRSC, Dottie and Tammy, did a great job of feeding all of the shooters at BRSC. The ladies prepared hot breakfast sandwiches for us and several choices of hot sausage sandwiches or Bar-B-Q sandwiches for lunch. Tammy made 4 different pies for the shooters this year. We had a choice of 2 different types of chocolate creame pies or a key lime pie and one other flavor of home made pie by Tammy. The best part of this shoot is Tammy's home made pie. The weather for this shoot this year was perfect. After the main shoot and lunch several of us shot the wobble trap at BRSC. Their wobble trap has 8 or 9 traps on the wobble trap field which makes for some great shooting. Their is the standard wobble trap under the wobble trap pyramid plus 2 other out going targets and 2 incoming targets and a high teal type target and some crossing targets. It is the best wobble trap set up that I have ever seen..... Good Shooting To You All, Jent
