best wipe down oil

what is the best oil to use on vintage guns for wiping down and general use

I like Ballistol. I know everyone has a favorite. I have used it for years with no issues.

I use the same thing as Eric. I personally like the smell of Ballistol

2qts of Hoppes #9, 12 cans of Rem Oil, a small cup of red grease ( Like you use for farm equip.) Plenty of Q Tips, cleaning patches and rags. Last about a year at my house with good results. I don't think it really matters what you use as long as you use it ! My son shoots in college and SCPT he cleans a gun almost every nite.

Everyone has their favorites but The military uses CLP (cleaner lubricant preservative). It works for me.I have used on my personal firearms and it was used on the main gun on a tank,
