SOUTHERN SxS & CHALLENGE CUP

It's just over 6 weeks until we gather at Deep River Sporting Clays and Shooting School for the 20th Southern SxS Spring Classic. In addition to the program of events provided by DRSC, we throw down the gauntlet again to our friends with the Parker Gun Collectors Association for The Challenge Cup and the Hammer Gun Challenge.

We will be providing souvenir name badges for those that notify me in advance. Please e-mail me with names at steve-arnett@triad.rr.com. This is much easier for me to manage than having names posted on this thread.

We are looking forward to returning the Challenge Cup and Hamer Gun Challenge Cup to the L.C. Smith side of the tent!

I'm presently preparing all the write-ups etc. for the Southern. As you and I haven't yet communicated, can I correctly assume from your post here that you are planning to continue service as LC Team Manager for his year's event? Please advise and thanks.

Steve,do you know if there will be a "Big Boomer" award for the 10ga. event again this year? Looking forward to seeing everyone and participating in as many events that time allows.Charlie.

Charlie, the LCSCA will continue the Big Boomer by sponsoring an award; although we'll be looking at a trophy cup as opposed to the kinds of prizes given in the past.

Thanks Tom.Looks like I need to bring a good amount of 10ga. shells along.I plan on shooting the 10ga. event on Wed.also that John Truit has started.Charlie.

Terry, the rules have traditionally been handled by Tom Archer for L.C.S.C.A. and Mills Morrison from P.G.C.A.
Tom has promised elsewhere on the Forum to post all the information about the events.

Requests for personalized "Team L.C. Smith" name badges have slowed to a trickle. Please e-mail me directly at steve-arnett@triad.rr.com if you would like one of these sought-after FREE souvenirs.
We have these printed up and available for pickup at the L.C. Smith tent.

At this point, I only have 60 or so names down for nametags. Lots of new names were added this year. Also, LOTS of folks who have requested tags in prior years have not contacted me to let me know if they are coming.
Please send me an e-mail at steve-arnett@triad.rr.com if you would like to be included. Everyone who has contacted me by e-mail should have received a confirmation by return e-mail. This is the best way for me to keep track of the names.
