Barrel dent removal

I have a LC Smith I just purchased that has some dents in the left barrel. It does have Damascus barrels. Does anyone know a gunsmith in Northern California that is capable of removing the dents? Gunsmiths are hard to find in California.

Well I could do it but I am in Virginia..... I will be at The Southern SXS Shoot and I will have the tools with me in Sanford, NC..... Just about anybody could remove the dents with the tools that I have...... It is easy to do .... Jent

Gene,you could purchase the tools to remove the dents yourself.I use a hydraulic dent raiser from Brownells.com part number 080-083-12AS phone 800-741-0015.I like to work damascus steel when it is warm because it tends to be or is more brittle than some other steels.Best of luck.Charlie.

Hello Fellow LCS Shooters and Friends, I will have the shotgun barrel dent removal tools with me at Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Sunday and Monday, March 17 and 18 of 2019...... If you would like to raise a dent out of one of your shotgun barrels bring it with you to Carlisle and we will work together with the tools and the dent will most likely disappear.... These tools can also be used to accurately, very accurately, measure the bores and chokes of a shotgun barrel..... posted by Jent on March 3 of 2019.
