Top lever position

What causes the top lever to have a left of center position when the gun is closed? Can this be repaired? If so, by who.

Gerald, there are two things that can happen, one the slope in the extension rib window is worn or that the rotary bolt lever that goes through the window is worn. My guess is the extension rib slope is worn.
Fix would be to have someone micro tig it and then file it.
This would be the easier fix, the other is that the gun would have to be taken apart and a new rotary bolt installed.
