The stock is one of the first places that gets destroyed.I have some stocks off such guns that now look like something to start your fireplace with.I,m not a big fan of shooting anything but lead in these guns.I had a BSS threaded for choke tubes about 25 years ago and used it for duck hunting with Bismouth.After shooting just a few shells while duck hunting the choke tubes were stuck fast and had to be destroyed to get them out.I have shot lead shot in it now for years with the new tubes with no problem.So in my thinking,even Bismouth puts more stress on guns than lead loads.Good luck,Charlie.
