Something to consider:Many modern shells are somewhat short of 2.750 in length.Some I checked are as much as .050 short.If you are concerned about a few thousands of an inch,just run a forcing cone reamer in and do the chamber and cut longer cones at the same time.I do this with all my guns that I plan on shooting.It is a win,win situation.Good luck.
