David, thank you, sir. This is really helpful information. I learn something new about these guns at ever turn.
The historical information is quite fascinating to me. I did not know that 2-9/16 were manufactured up till 1940, which is my gun's date. I was told that it is 2-3/4, but i need to get a chamber guage to confirm as Charlie suggested in an earlier posting. What you are are shooting and your load data and experiences are appteciated.
