    David, first off, let me thank you for the info. I can't remember offhand, the particulars of the gun. It is in the bedroom and the better half (or she whom must be obeyed) is fast asleep. I'll check all this out in the morning and post here again.

    To my untrained eye, it appears to be intact with exception of two minor items, The duck billed tip on the fore-end and and what looks to me like an incorrect screw that appears to pass through the side-plates and anchored by a small brass (modern looking) nut.

    I'm torn between having it totally restored, or just made safe to be able to fire a very few low pressure shells. I'd like my brother niece to be able to fire it at least once.
