Barry, welcome to the world of 16gauge Smith guns.First thing is to check to see if your gun has 2.750 chambers.Being a late model gun it may have the 2.750 chambers. When Cabelas first came out with their 16 gauge shells I bought a few cases.I had major problems with them sticking in my Smith guns.In other 16 guns they worked fine.I know other folks in our club that shoot them all the time and like them.RST shells are a safe bet and they do reload OK.If you plan to reload you will have to decide what length shells you want to mess with.My favorite factory shell in 2.750 is Federal, hands down they reload the best for me giving less problems. If you are going to buy a 16 gauge loader,be sure to get one with a collet sizer. You will save yourself a lot of problems by doing so in 16.Good luck! Charlie.
