According to Houchin's book, firing pin bushings were discontinued in 1905. Out of curiosity I examined my modest collection of pre-'13 guns and found that one of my guns with bushings is later than that date---a 2E 16 completed 7/22/07. In addition, there is an OO 16 currently listed on one of the gunsites that dates to 1908. My question--is Houchin's information incorrect, or is this another instance of "never say never"?
