New to me...1927 field 16 low ribe! Archived Message

This is one sweet L.C. FW frame, DT-PG-SF extractors, 3 position safety. I see few with the low rib option that I like. The barrels are 28" choked .020 right = imp-mod and .038 left for a super full in 16ga. bores are 656/.658 bright and perfect. Barrels ring true, 2 5/8 chambers. Barrel blue looks original but does have a weep hole just ahead if the for-end fixture? I do not know if that is factory work? Color is original at about 75% and vivid. Stock was not cut but does have a old collapsed pad, a couple small dents and some finish added I think. Lever is way right gun looks like it may have seen little use. Wood at the head fits perfect and shows no cracks or looseness! Perfect un-touched screws. Comes in at 6lbs-5oz for a light little FW-Smith bird gun. The only negative for me is that the stock drops are 1-9/16 and 2-9/16. Low for me, not much can be done with that...)-: Wow what a sweet gun indeed! I have some pictures but could not get them loaded here, please e-mail me directly at shooting-stars@comcast.net and I will send them back that way. thanks Kenny....SXS Ohio
