Drew thanx for the info I think we have some confusion regarding the grade. i believe what I have is an early #1 grade hammerless trap gun manufactured in 1890 in the 30 thousand serial number range. according to the website the Fulton serial numbers began at 30 thousand which gave me the impression it would have been one of the first 800 made at Fulton. I was also under the impression that the engraving on the number 1 was a was a full banding of entire gun a snowflake on the side covers an engraved trigger guard and engraved opening lever along with the standard engraving offered on the 0.It has no markings other than the serial number and engraved LC Smith on the side cover along with a vase shaped ebony tip on the wood locking cover. All this led me to believe I had lower end transition gun. It is in good shape but worn and thought it being a No 1 again as described on the website they might like some pics It was being used till a few years ago with low power ammo. Since I know very little about Damascus barrels and the ammo this is what started my quest. thanx for the info and any insight would be great
