Good afternoon. I am thrilled to report I purchased my first LC Smith. It's a OO grade and from your table, was made in 1906. I picked it up for a very reasonable price at a local gun show recently, in nice original condition. Unfortunately, I really don't know much about their mechanics. I disassembled and cleaned, reassembled and got to the fore end. I read here that you must cock the hammers before reassembling the fore end. How exactly does one do that? Is there an old LC Smith manual on line?
