There are several different versions of the barrel hook or barrel hangar on L C Smith's......A few LCS's had a push button type fore end release......Some had a "banjo" release......Some had a clam shell release......and some just pulled on and off......there might be other types that I am not familiar with.....does your barrel have one solid shell lifter or a divided two part shell lifter ???.....Jent
