Most I've seen in person had varying degrees of finish missing, and I'm trying to determine what was there to begin with, 100+ years ago.
I understand that Fox flats were blues, except for two outside strips, and bits were white on Parker's. I wanted to try to refinish back to factory appearances, but was unsure if there was a way Smith's were always produced.
British guns seems to have all white flats, and the forend lump is often white.
