Hi John,
If you search the archives in the forum it will let allow you see a great deal of info. on this subject. The meaning for US;USA;USA-F stamps on the barrels themselves is unknown. Military acceptance stamps were placed on the barrel flats as pictured by Drew and contain the 3 letters of the accepting officers name.
