1923 12ga Field Featherweight 2 barrel set Archived Message

Hello all. I am new to LC guns and would like to get some additional information if possible. The gun in question is all original, high condition for its age with a numbered set of extra barrels each with its own splinter forearm (both sets have the S/N on wood and steel, and either a '1' or '2' respectively). One set is a 28" choked IC / MOD and the other is 32" with I believe a FULL / FULL. The barrel set marked '2' also has 'Armour Steel' stamped on the barrels. Both sets also have a turned / jeweled finish on the barrel face, but I don't know if there is any jeweling in the action. There is no engraving on the receiver, etc.

From what I read this is a factory 2 barrel set? If so, how often are they encountered by collectors? Would a factory letter from here or the Cody museum be preferable?

    Thanks in advance!
