Serial Numbers of the Last Specialty Grades Manufactured Archived Message Posted by Stephen Wesbrook on May 5, 2017, 9:09 pm Brophy's book (p. 203) list 77 Specialty Grade shotguns among the 56,800 guns produced between May 1946 and June 1950 bearing "S" serial numbers. I have a Specialty Grade gun made in 1949 numbered "S 48794". Does anyone know the serial number of the last Specialty Grade and/or how many were manufactured after this gun?
