    Although it is certainly possible that the production records would reflect the stock type on your particular gun, that is not information that was typically recorded, and I am not aware of any research source which reflects all records of stock type. Clearly, however, pistol grip stocks are much more common than straight grip (20 to 1? 30 to 1?), and this is particularly true with respect to lower grade guns. I would think that a 20 gauge O Grade with an original straight grip stock would be relatively rare. I would pay more for it than a comparable gun with a pistol grip, but then I really like guns with a straight grip. If original, I believe the serial number would be under the long tang.
