Like most LC Smith shooters I try to use low pressure shells. RST, POLYWAD and B&P competition one. However not being an original owner( old but not that old) of any of my guns, I have to wonder just how many full pressure loads have been turned loose in my guns? How many 3" loads in my 12 gauge Long Range? I know...old wood is the primary reason. But, can not help but think most of previous owners probably never were very concerned about using the most powerful load they could buy. I do not want to risk damaging any of my collection.....but it is good to know they probably would not even notice. Hunt em up.....boom .....dead bird.
