    Thank you, Dan. I have an ultrasonic, and that' going to be my first step.

    Was color case the only original finish? This one is literally a solid brown, like the 1800's hammer guns get. I like the coin rubbed finish with the original finish left in the nooks and crannies. That probably describes what I'm hoping for after the brown is minimized.

    I think it will make for an attractive shooter to have a dark coin patina frame, a freshly blued barrel, and hopefully a decent enough dark walnut stock. If I can find a factory stock that I can afford, I'll be all set. Restocking is not financially possible.
