Hi David. It sounds fascinating. I may be the only one, but what do you mean when you say "carding" in your description? I an not familiar with the steps of the cold bluing process other than it is a form of controlled rust. It almost sounds as though carding is what you do with the green scotchbrite pads? Also, when you "rust" the barrels, is that just spraying water on them? How long do you let them sit to rust? Thanks for your patience with my questions. - Doug
