Les, it sounds to me as if the sear/s is resting on the trigger plate and sharply closing the gun is jarring the sear more onto the trigger causing it to fire.

Removing the locks is fairly simply. Make sure the gun is cocked, take out the left front lock plate screw, it is a short one. Take out the next one, it is longer and is connected to the right side. Take out the right lock front screw. Keep the left and right separated for orientation. Screw the long screw into the right side lock where it came from. You should be able to pry the right lock off. If not, put that screw back into the left side and catch about two threads on the right side then tap the head with the head of a screw driver or plastic mallet and the right lock should come loose.

If just taken apart last year, it should be fine inside. If you had said 30 years ago I would say then take them off.

Try this before you do anything. Open the gun, get a screw driver bit that fits the screw under the top lever so that it fits perfectly, both in width and length. Back out that screw one full turn. Tap the head of the screw with a plastic mallet or use a dowel and hit it with a metal hammer on the head of the screw.
See if that cures your problem.

If it does not it will have to be looked at. Let us know how you make out.
