Thanks Mark, Gordon and Vince. I'm sure that this gun would have been a parts gun and I hate to see that happen. The ejector for-end would bring more than what I paid for the gun.
Some do not like the HOT, but when they are working there aren't many parts to go wrong and many of these guns with them are still working great after 100+ years. The big problem is when a gunsmith that does not know L.C. Smith's takes one apart and can't get the trigger working once it is put back together. In this case it was badly put back together with broken parts.
