Calling All A-1 Owners Archived Message

Posted by Bob Hamilton on March 17, 2016, 12:09 am, in reply to "Re: 1898 A-1"

    Ken,

As there were only 10 16 gauge A-1s ever made I would love to see some pictures if possible. The 16 gauge is even more rare than the 10 gauge A-1, with 29 of those made.

I'm a big fan of the A-1, I also have a 1893 A-1 that I will post some pictures of once the Damascus barrels have been refinished.

Maybe some other A-1 owners would want to share their guns by posting some pictures? The A-1 is too nice to lock up in a gun safe, let's see them.

It would be interesting to see the different engraving patterns, how many have convex ribs and how many have fluid steel barrels.

    This is an interesting gun.
