I perform low volume 16 Ga reloading on a MEC Sizemaster; it is a 5 station reloader. I forgot what a MEC 650 has but if it is similar to the Sizemaster with 5 stations, MEC provides an easy solution for 2 1/2 inch shells. They sell a metal form that slides into place on the last two stations that start and finish the crimp. No other adjusment is needed, at least in my case. I emphasize "low volume" reloading because it takes 6 strokes to make one shell whereas my 12 Ga progressives turn out a shell with every stroke.
