Thanks Jent, I live about as far away from Virginia as you can get,Ketchikan Alaska.Thanks for the thoughts on what you use , I thought that there must be loads that you could shoot without going to black powder. I had been told when I was young that you could not shoot those damascus guns ,they will unwind or explode. I do agree that most of the burst barrels a due to blocks or obstructions and carelessness. I was wondering if there are ever any shoots on the west coast,It would make it a little easier to attend. I really enjoy the forum and the the website in general. It has given me a great deal of info and confidence with my LC addiction. Its been 40 years since I got my first Smith. I have been hooked ever since. thanks to all again for the welcome and helpful information. MY
