    Thanks for posting this, and thanks for the serial number as I will include that in our data bank of hammer guns.

    As to the corrosion in the barrels, I would clean them good with a stainless spiral bore brush. Then use a bronze bore brush with a cleaning patch to clean up the residue. Inspect the bores to see how they look. If you cannot see any areas that look dark almost black then I would say you would be ok to shoot this AFTER someone that knows these guns inspects it. I would have him measure the bores which should be from .725-.730 and if still pits or corrosion, then can be honed. Just make sure whomever does this that they keep away from the choke area, about 3".

    Many of us shoot this old hammer guns at our events with low pressure low velocity loads. RST and Polywad sell shells for vintage guns.
