Thanks to all that responded, Jimmy, I reviewed the measurements I have on the chokes in my Elsie, and you are correct. The right side is choked tighter than the left. According to my measurements she is choked full and modified [although I still haven't had a chance to pattern her]. Bill, I do not know how to tell if the ribs are soldered or brazed, but being as there is no issues with mine, and the barrels "ring like a bell" I am happy to let well enough alone. Dan, I believe David has hit the nail on the head. My gun appears to have been used very little, but I have no way of knowing just how much. The trigger assembly shows no sign of wear on the inside, I think that as long as the mechanism is kept clean and lubricated the parts will not be subject to wear, and I fully expect that my Elsie will long outlast me and serve my grandson for the rest of his days.
