Is there anyway I could find out what chamber size my serial # 214970 model E 00 L C Smith was manufactured with. It seems to be a mystery with local gunsmith how this particular SxS wound up with this 2 1/2" chamber without being some kind of special order, he was of the belief he would be finding a 2 3/4 chamber? He says it could be taken out to 2 3/4 but would possibly be unsafe, I will take his advise and not ask for that to be done.
