Robert, I appreciate your comments. However, I don't see a thing on the flyer about NSCA membership. It specifically says that it is a non-registered shoot, self-publishing and self-score. Note also that all shoots are "local" to some, and more of a challenge for others. Some that came from New Jersey to shoot at Prince George's County in the past had to contend with tolls, traffic, etc. I can't always go to this shoot due to travel expense, as you note. I live in NC, and I feel the need to show some appreciation to all the folks that travel a long way to the Southern SxS by returning the favor.
We all have to make our own judgements about what we can participate in. For me, the fellowship is worth the effort and expense. Perhaps you will consider setting up an alternating year arrangement for the Turkey Shoot so that you an hold it near you every other year?
