maybe i'm asking the impossible but i'd like to know if anyone has, or if they can tell me where to get an extra thick butt plate for a quality D hammer gun. i have a quality 6, 10 ga. gun with one of these plates. the butt of the stock is slightly curved to fit the plate, as is the butt of the quality D. cliff w. has told me that there were some of these installed on some guns. the pattern is a dog by rushes, with a falling duck,with L C Smith at the top, and trap gun at the bottom. i've called the makers of repro plates listed on the l c site and none of them make this thickness. the plate i have is 3/4" thick. any help out there?5423809
